As the capstone experience in the department of Art + Design at Anderson University, an annual exhibition is held for seniors to showcase their work.
The senior show is a culminating moment for each senior in the department of Art + Design at Anderson University’s South Carolina School of the Arts. Each senior showcases their work in a gallery exhibition that the graduating class creates together. The graphic design seniors worked together to design the exhibition branding and all collateral and promotion for the show. My role on the design team was to create the print publication that highlights each artist, their time in the program, and their work in the show.
The exhibition, titled Nexus, takes a closer look at this culminating moment that each senior will share before diverging to unique paths. The concept for the show was inspired by the way light interacts with a prism. White light that enters the prism unites at a singular point before expanding into a full spectrum of color. This point of convergence is considered a nexus.
The print publication was designed to reflect the spectrum of color produced from a prism and the connections that holds within the art + design disciplines. Designing this publication to become a swatch book furthers this concept and allows viewers to see each individual highlighted while also understanding how each artist comes together in one unified story.
